Trustee -Hi I am Harry Tosh and I am pleased to be asked to be a trustee for the gardens.
Born, bred, and schooled in Dundee I started my work life as an apprentice chef in different hospitals, hotels etc. while attending day release courses to become qualified. Possibly why I began gardening with the association in the 1970s was to be able to get better and more organic produce using skills I learned gardening with my grandfather.
I left the catering industry due to the unsociable hours and moved into other jobs before completing a Social Work qualification at Robert Gordon’s in Aberdeen. Then on return worked with children at Carolina House for many years. When this unit closed I worked with adults with mental health, drug and alcohol issues, and eventually completed mental health officer training. I worked in this role until retirement.
